District Senior Adult Ministries Directors |
These men and women are vitally important to the ministry to a rapidly growing population in our Assemblies of God Fellowship—senior adults. Some serve dual roles of leadership in their respective districts (frequently with Christian Education and SAM), some are pastors, some are church staff members, and some are lay people serving voluntarily. Whatever their position, all are serving faithfully and effectively.
When I assumed the position of national director, I recognized very quickly the important role the district directors have. For the most part, they are the “link” through which our office can communicate and exchange ideas and resources and give and receive prayer support. They are the “hands-on” people—the ones who, through retreats and/or other special events, bring many seniors groups together for fellowship and spiritual renewal and refreshing. They are the men and women who lend support and assistance to local churches seeking guidance and direction, whether in starting new programs or expanding existing programs.
We want everyone who receives PrimeLine to know who is serving as your district director. We encourage you to pray for them and support them in every way you can. Take advantage of the opportunities they make available to you. Let them know you appreciate the work they are doing.
I am so excited to be a part of SAM, and I am deeply grateful to those with whom I am able to join hands and work alongside. May God bless each one of our district SAM directors!
